Hrollyhuck, the Goblin King. Hrollyhuck is a forward thinking goblin, with progressive ideas like germ warfare.

Wicked Old Moma, a character from a grandiose comic project from my teens that became cumbersome … it was a little too epic for its own good. Moma was my favourite character: an ageless ancient shaman, spry and cunning. She had a mischievous streak that would take up acres.

Here’s a watercolour portrait of the Bandit Queen, Phoolan Devi. She was one strong woman. I need to get better at using actual watercolour paper instead of the acrylic pad that I’ve been using lately - I’m getting crumby results.
ATCs abound!
Gnolls are another personal favourite. What’s cooler than tribal, nomadic anthropomorphic hyenas? The Dungeons and Dragons Monster Manual has a lot of inspiration to draw from.
I’ve been doing these little trading card illustrations during breaks from my first day of NaNoWriMo. I’m looking forward to having a bunch of trading cards available at Canzine West in Vancouver this month.

This one is of Black Annis, a blue bogeymonster with iron fingernails who skins and eats children and lambs. She is said to inhabit a cave with an oak tree outside it.
