So I made a wallpaper!
This is my first attempt at making a pattern the old fashioned way: I drew the centre of my pattern and then cut the page into quarters, repositioning the tiles so that my centre image became the corner images. Then I drew a new image in the new centre of the page. Unfortunately I don’t have time tonight to get this much further along, but it’s good practice for a more serious attempt. This almost works as a desktop background, though it’s slightly askew in places.
I made vague blobby animal heads with markers and then doodled faces with a fineliner.
Bats! So many bats!
I recently realized just how perfect bats are. They are like real-life goblins. Just look at those little gobliny features. Awww.
This was a fun sketch fest when I should have been sleeping. I coloured these guys in photoshop this afternoon as practice with digital colouring. The funnyface up in the top left is me favourite.
A rooster that I painted this evening.
8” by 8” Acrylic on cradle panel.
This painting will be for sale as part of a fundraiser for Cloudscape Comics, a collective which I am a member of. We are raising money to print our next anthology, 21 Journeys.
